Everyone here feels like family; the atmosphere is positive and it keeps me motivated to come back the next time and improve; Zach has a knack for noticing faults in a lift (even before watching a video back in slow motion) and he creates customized programs based on your goals and needs; Zach is more concerned with developing good technique and staying healthy over lifting heavy just for the number.

Before moving to St. Louis, I was on the brink of injury and had rough technique. I had been Olympic weightlifting for about 6 months. At my previous club, the training methodology was all about the here and now: pushing for PRs everyday. When I joined Strength Works, Coach Zach immediately assessed my technique and competitive goals. He created a long-term, customized and tailored program for my individual success as a weightlifter. I have been training at Strength Works for two months now and have already developed significantly better technique while making smooth and consistent PRs. The balanced environment at Strength Works encourages me to be myself while also supporting me when I need to put my head down and make big lifts. Looking for a strength coach, I approached Zach on a recommendation from my adult son, who himself trained with Zach before moving out of town.
Being middle age and inactive through the last decade, I was a bit apprehensive about ensuing regular workouts. I found Zach to be a fantastic coach and training partner.
I have been training with Zach for a year now and working with him has made a huge impact on my health. My overall performance and agility has improved significantly. His personalized approach is conservative and focuses on the long term effects and benefits. Proper technique and safety are the always main priorities. He keeps detailed records of my workouts which helps us gauge my progress.

I joined Strength Works to get stronger, and that is precisely what I’m doing- this is the best weightlifting experience I’ve ever had.
Zach does a great job programming me a good combination of strength and technique work. This has allowed me to get stronger overall, and improve my form in the Olympic lifts in order to get higher weights in the snatch and clean and jerk.
The equipment is great. Nice platforms, competition bumpers, and Pyrros bars.
